Higher Everyday Devotional By Pastor W.F Kumuyi, MAY 7, 2017- EL SHADDAI'S ENCOURAGEMENT

Prophecies for 2018 by Pastor E.A Adeboye

"Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee" (Isaiah 41:10).

Since Eden, unspeakable woes and horrible pains have continued to afflict mankind.

Neither sinners nor saints in this life are spared these horrifying consequences of the fall, which mostly defy human solution. But God has made adequate provisions to cushion the effect on His elect of the horrors and pains that characterize life in this world.

Knowing our frailty as humans, God promises to "sustain thee" as we deal with "fightings" and "fears" (Psalm 55:22; II Corinthians 7:5).

In view of the numerous promises of God, Christians must develop faith that crushes all fears, intimidation and discouragement that may hinder victorious Christian living and even threaten our ultimate salvation-entering into God's kingdom.

Ask for God's encouragement. When Elijah was discouraged to the point of asking for death, God encouraged him (1 Kings 19:1-18). My child, fear not, God will take you higher beyond your dreams. He is able to do it because He is God Almighty.

Challenge: Encouragement is oxygen to the soul.

Prayer: O LORD, lift me up when I am cast down in Jesus' name.

    Quote: Ask for God's encouragement
Bible Reading in one Year: Isaiah 40:8-11, 25-31
