"Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body" (Hebrews 13:3).

Queen Victoria was a close friend of Principal and Mrs. Tullock, of St. Andrews. Prince Albert died and Victoria was left alone.

Just at the same time, Principal Tullock died and Mrs. Tullock was left alone. Quite unexpectedly, Queen Victoria called on Mrs. Tullock when she was resting on a couch in her room. The Queen stepped forward. "My dear," she said, "don't rise. I am not coming to you today as a queen to a subject, but as one woman to another who has lost her husband." She put herself in her friend's place. That is what God did for us.

The Lord expects believers to show mutual concern for one another in sickness, imprisonment, false accusation, failure in examination, persecution, bereavement, etc. When Martha and Mary lost their brother Lazarus, Jesus literally wept to identify with their sorrow.

There is a common saying that "˜what goes around comes around.' If you fail to show concern for other youths at their moment of adversity, how would you expect others to show concern at your own time of adversity?
