To stand out as a Christian, means you are positively different, peculiar or outstanding. Daniel in Babylon, had an excellent spirit that made him faultless. He was said to be, "faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him" (Daniel 6:4b). This was why the king appointed him first among the presidents and princes of Babylon. Our Christian life must reflect the words of this hymn's stanza: "While passing thro'this world of sin, And others your life shall view, Be clean and pure without, within, Let others see Jesus in you. A Christian is a Christian whether in Sardis, Paris, New York, Lagos or Dubai. Others may bow down to the gods of fashion, fame and financial success. But our resolution must be, "The LORD our God will we serve, and his voice will we obey." Sometimes, you may have to stand alone, but God will stand by you. Do not give up the Christ's nature in you even if people around you sting or stink.
