     James 5:13-16Amplified Bible (AMP)

    13 Is anyone among you suffering? He must pray. Is anyone joyful? He is to sing praises [to God].
    14 Is anyone among you sick? He must call for the elders (spiritual leaders) of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him with [a]oil in the name of the Lord;

    15 and the prayer of faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.

    16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another [your false steps, your offenses], and pray for one another, that you may be healed and restored. The heartfelt and persistent prayer of a righteous man (believer) can accomplish much [when put into action and made effective by God—it is dynamic and can have tremendous power].

    MESSAGE:

    Prayer is a means of communicating with God, it is primary offered by addressing God directly in the Name of Jesus. Prayer may include petition, entreaty, supplication, thanksgiving, praise, hymns, and lament. It is important to note that prayer plays a vital role in our quest to access more of Gods glory. It is a ladder we can climb to enter into God's presence. The more you pray, the more of His presence you will encounter, leading you into more of His glory.

    Wake up! Rise up in prayer and begin to pray your way into His presence today! Bear in mind that evil judgment and all manners of calamities always befall those who do not pray. God wants His children to develop the habit of praying always, 1 Thessalonians 5:17 says:
    Amplified Bible (AMP)
     17 be unceasing and persistent in prayer . Children of God have no excuse for living a prayer-less life.

     The Word of God makes it very clear that the failure of many among the people of God is not due to laziness, lack of ambition, or poor preparation, but due to a lack of prayer.

    Prayer Point: Father, please rekindle the fire of prayer in my life in Jesus' Name.
