    Seeds of Destiny 24 September 2017 by Pastor Paul Enenche

    Topic: The True Disposition Of A Servant - Seeds of Destiny

    Scripture:
    Philippians 2:7Amplified Bible (AMP) 7 but emptied Himself [without renouncing or diminishing His deity, but only temporarily giving up the outward expression of divine equality and His rightful dignity] by assuming the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men [He became completely human but was without sin, being fully God and fully man].

    Thought For The Day: It is not where a man sits in life that matters but what sits inside him.

    In my walk with God and in the privilege of serving Him, I have discovered that one of the causes of the decay in our generation is the craving for recognition.

    Many people want to be accorded recognition for what they are. For instance, in occasions where such people are not given the front or high seat where all eyes can see them, they become annoyed, and they can do that even in church. They have forgotten to realise that it is not where a man sits in life that matters but what sits inside him.

    Seeds of Destiny

    A true servant will not behave like that; a true servant’s disposition is that of humility. A true servant is unassuming.

    Sometime ago, I went to a big church and sat at the back row. While the pastor was preaching, he noticed my presence and sent an usher to bring me up to the altar where other ministers of the gospel were seated. I told the usher that I wanted to sit at the back row but the pastor refused and said that if I sat there, he would stop the message. Seeds of Destiny

    Beloved, I counsel you to live the kind of life David lived: a life that does not seek or struggle for reputation with men. When God saw these qualities in him, God concluded that he was the kind of man He was looking for.

    Remember this: It is not where a man sits in life that matters but what sits inside him.

    Assignment(s): Seeds of Destiny

    1. Always make humility your life principle.

    2. Do not struggle to be known by men but strive to know God.

    Prayer: O LORD, help me to live like Jesus lived; not to struggle for reputation in Jesus’ Name.

    68 Let God arise, and His enemies be scattered;
    Let those who hate Him flee before Him.
    2

    As smoke is driven away, so drive them away;
    As wax melts before the fire,
    So let the wicked and guilty perish before [the presence of] God.
    3

    But let the righteous be glad; let them be in good spirits before God,
    Yes, let them rejoice with delight.
    4

    Sing to God, sing praises to His name;
    Lift up a song for Him who rides through the desert—
    His name is the Lord—be in good spirits before Him.

    He leads the prisoners into prosperity,
    Only the stubborn and rebellious dwell in a parched land.

    7

    O God, when You went out before Your people,
    When You marched through the wilderness, Selah.
    8

    The earth trembled;
    The heavens also poured down rain at the presence of God;
    Sinai itself trembled at the presence of God, the God of Israel.
    9

    You, O God, sent abroad plentiful rain;
    You confirmed Your inheritance when it was parched and weary.
    10

    Your flock found a dwelling place in it;
    O God, in Your goodness You provided for the poor.

    11

    The Lord gives the command [to take Canaan];
    The women who proclaim the good news are a great host (army);
    12

    “The kings of the [enemies’] armies flee, they flee,
    And the beautiful woman who remains at home divides the spoil [left behind].”
    13

    When you lie down [to rest] among the [a]sheepfolds,
    You [Israel] are like the wings of a dove [of victory] overlaid with silver,
    Its feathers glistening with gold [trophies taken from the enemy].
    14

    When the Almighty scattered [the Canaanite] kings in the land of Canaan,
    It was snowing on [b]Zalmon.

    15

    A mountain of God is the mountain of Bashan;
    A [high] mountain of many summits is Mount Bashan [rising east of the Jordan].
    16

    Why do you look with envy, mountains with many peaks,
    At the mountain [of the city of Zion] which God has desired for His dwelling place?
    Yes, the Lord will dwell there forever.
    17

    The chariots of God are [c]myriads, thousands upon thousands;
    The Lord is among them as He was at Sinai, in holiness.
    18

    You have ascended on high, You have led away captive Your captives;
    You have received gifts among men,
    Even from the rebellious also, that the Lord God may dwell there.

    24 Do not be envious of evil men,
    Nor desire to be with them;
    2

    For their minds plot violence,
    And their lips talk of trouble [for the innocent].
