SHE CRIED OUT TO JESUS (2)

Jesus is God and will ever remain God. A few months later, Amy became very ill with gallstones (hard mass forming in the bladder). As she lay in the hospital waiting for surgery, she called out to Jesus saying, “I believe that you have healed so many people in the past, and would you please come and heal me; if you are true! “This sounds rude, but Jesus’ love for Amy was greater than her seeming unbelief.

Like Amy, some Teachers of the Law in our scripture reading today said to themselves, “This man is speaking blasphemy.” To them it was blasphemy for Jesus to claim to forgive sins. Beloved in Christ, Jesus’ mission on earth was to reconcile man to His Father through His sacrificial death on the Cross. Cyril of Jerusalem says, “The Lord is loving unto man, and swift to pardon, but slow to punish. Let no man therefore despair of his own salvation. “However due to unbelief, hard hardheartedness, and lack of knowledge, even some religious bodies do not believe this. Dear reader do you believe? If you are still in doubt of the personality of Jesus, cry to Him as Amy did.

Amy lamented, “I am broken financially; I didn’t have family to take care of me. I cannot just survive this situation alone.” After asking and requesting Jesus to demonstrate His trueness, she observed that her hospital room was full of shining light.; Jesus appeared to her in full human body; stretching out His hand, moved close to her bed and said to her, “Come to me, you who are weary and carrying heavy burden, I will give you rest.”

Amy did not know that the statement was in thee scripture (Mat. 11: 28-30); until later. Seeing the nail in His wrist, she concluded that was the way Jesus’ death was described to her in the church. From this, she believed that no one could deny the fact that Jesus is God and the son of God, Halleluiah! Like Peter, Amy saw herself as dirty and so sinful while Jesus is holy, righteous and beautiful! This was a wonderful and heart-warning encounter for Amy.

As in customary before surgery, Amy’s doctor ran the same tests, but surprisingly the result was negative, no infection, therefore the gallstone was no more. After other physical tests Amy then believed that discharged. Jesus Christ had healed her divinely. Amy then believed that Jesus is both God  and Man.

    MASS: GREEN/WHITE Jonah 4: 1-11; Ps 86: 3-4. 5-6. 9-10 (R. 15); Accl Rom. 8: 15bc; Lk. 11: 1-4. ST. JOHN **III, POPE (OPT MEN)
    Prayer Point:
    1.       May be the doctor had said that your disease is incurable, that report is from man. Now whose result are you going to take? For the Lord says, “I am the Lord that heals you. Now like Amy, stretch your hand out to Jesus and receive your healing. APPLY ANOINTING OIL BY A CATHOLIC PRIEST ON WHATEVER YOU ARE HURTING. BELIEVE GOD TODAY FOR HEALING.
