DON’T BE DISMAYED I AM YOU GO

    Scripture Reading: Isaiah 41; 10-11

The dictionary definition of ‘depression’ is, “to be flattered vertically or dispirited”. Just last week, a user of DSD called, lamenting her inability to send her children to school, provide minimal comfort for them and worst still her poor ill health. “Since she lost her husband two years ago her life has become difficult. Hear another lamentation, “It is ten years now since we married. Though we had little challenges, which was properly treated by the doctor who declared us fit to have babies. We need you prayers”.

Beloved, these can lead to heaviness of heart which can cause anxiety. The scripture says, “Anxiety weighs down the human heart ….” (Proverb 12: 25). Many persons are in similar situations but the Holy Spirit says to us today, “Do not fear, for I am with you, do not be afraid for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand”.

Dear children of God, God mean every word spoken to you today. When He gives a command to us to do something there are good reasons to do it; and power comes from understanding and believing these reasons. Our God says to you “Do not fear, for I am with you, do not be afraid for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand”. This is God speaking to you. Whatever you are going through today, He says “Do not be afraid for I am with you”

Beloved God loves you and will never leave you unattended to. No wonder the Psalmist says, “The Lord is my light and my strength; whom shall I fear. The Lord is the stronghold of my life of whom shall I be afraid.” (Psalm 27: 1). In Hebrew 13: 3-5, the scripture says, “… I will never leave you or forsake you.” So you can safely say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can anyone do to me?” Friend, the Holy Spirit says to you, “Challenge all situations affecting you with the fact that God will never leave od forsake you and therefore you can never be dismayed. Lift your head against
    all”.
