    Topic- Occupy till I come

    Text: Luke 19:11-27
Rccg Sunday Sermon October 15, 2017
Luke 19:11-27  And as they heard these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately appear.
He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return.
And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.
But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us.
And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading.
Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds.
And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.
And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds.
And he said likewise to him, Be thou also over five cities.
And another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a napkin:
For I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest up that thou layedst not down, and reapest that thou didst not sow.
And he saith unto him, Out of thine own mouth will I judge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I was an austere man, taking up that I laid not down, and reaping that I did not sow: Rccg Sunday Sermon October 15, 2017
Wherefore then gavest not thou my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have required mine own with usury?
And he said unto them that stood by, Take from him the pound, and give it to him that hath ten pounds.
(And they said unto him, Lord, he hath ten pounds.)
For I say unto you, That unto every one which hath shall be given; and from him that hath not, even that he hath shall be taken away from him.
But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before

Prayer- Father help me not to be a failure in Jesus name!
Many today are not serving God with joy, serving God is no longer interesting to people, it could be delay in expectations, but it ought not to be so! The bible say in the presence of God there is Fullness of Joy. If you are asking where is God? Know that God is here with you,
Occupy Till I come! - RCCG Tarbanacle of Power and Praise

What is Occupy- it means to be busy, or to reside in a place, or to engage in an enterprise, or it could mean take control or seize a territory. In our text V13, the noble man charged them, occupy till I return, the noble man expected them to do business, till he comes. If you are in the church and you are not growing or not enthusiastic about the things of God, you are struggling to serve God, then you are not occupying. If you are occupying, then doing Gods will should not be difficult for you. Rccg Sunday Sermon October 15, 2017
Declare- I will occupy irrespective of what challenged may come my way, I will occupy in Jesus name.
Jesus said be of good cheer, occupy till I come, there may be challenges but understand that God has told us to occupy, don't focus on the picture of the challenges the devil may be painting for you. Jesus is teaching us something in that passage, that there is a responsibility given to us.

    How do we occupy?
    1. Which is the key thing as the lord thought me, reject every manner of fear in your life, you don't allow any fear occupy your life as we learned from our Daddy E.A. Adeboye in open Heavens, he said "You are majority with God" I want you from today to know that with You in God, you are in the majority! You with God, you are a majority, around you, are chariots of fire, you walk in liberty and you can walk in liberty if you understand these things.
It is high time that we walk with this understanding, if we occupy and do not fear, you are majority with God. People may mock you, but if you understand you are majority with God, you will stand strong. These are spiritual things, this is not to rub you of your joy! Still never loose hope. To occupy reject every manner of fear, hold on with God.

    2. Be engaged in work! You may have PhD. But whatever come your way just for the time be engaged in it, do it you never can tell what God will do in your life. Paul as an evangelist in Thessalonica, he was engaged building tents, just engage in something and wait if God won't prove himself. Just engage in work, and with time God will bless you.
Use your talent, God has told you to occupy, look for opportunities to show your skill.
    3. Be profit minded and think fruitfulness - Believe God that your tomorrow shall be well, have faith. As you think fruitfulness God will make you fruitful.
What will make you not to occupy
When you are not sensitive to what God is saying!
    Consequences of not occupying
    1. You are considered by God to be a wicked servant that was what happen to that man in the passage we read, if you fail to occupy and show gratitude unto God you are wicked and wasteful, even that which you have will be taken from you! God is not wicked, It is because gratitude is far from you, many have lost here Job because they are thinking, how will I eat, how will I do this and that? the bible says worry over nothing.
    Benefits of occupying
Luke 19:16-18  Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds.
And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.
And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds.

From the above, they became rulers of cities, this is the benefits of occupying, God will promote you beyond your expectations. Beloved, He give you power to tread on Serpent and Scorpion, key to this blessing its not for the pastor alone.
Do you have any situation, and you want God to intervene, God is here

Prayer - Any seed that has been planted in my life, that is working against my glorious destiny, destroy in Jesus name Amen
Challenge - Many are not Occupying as God has commanded, we need to be spiritually alert and sensitive, be enthusiastic about serving God.
