Catholic Devotional DECEMBER 1, 2017 - GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD

Psalm 92:1-2 says “It is good to give thanks to the Lord, and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High: To declare Your loving kindness in the morning, And your faithfulness every night,” Brethren, we have reached the last month of the year 2017, It is a time to express our thanks to God for the great things He has done this year. Some people may ask “How can I praise God in my present bad situation?” God’s love for us is not determined by circumstances in our lives. Catholic Devotional

His love is steadfast. Our career or finanances might fluctuate or totally break apart, God’s love remains unchanged. So every living being is expected to say “Thank you LORD for the life given to me.” Child of God Let us make today a day of thanksgiving; for without His love you cannot be alive today. The greatest miracle is that of waking up every morning to behold a bright new day. It is His mercy, and kindness that bring this miracle of life to be. He supplies our physical, spiritual, and financial needs (Phil 4:19, 20). Recall beloved, that even in our unfaithfulness, God remains abundantly faithful (2 Tim 2:13).

He protects us from the enemies who come against us and grants us security and refuge (Psalm: 9:9). He strengths us to cope with our moments of grief and trials. He forgives our sins, heals our diseases, saved us from sudden death, crowns us with love and compassion, satisfies our desires, and gives righteousness and justice (Ps 103: 1-5). There are many blessings that come from being grateful for the good things we enjoy. Join the DSD family to say “Lord, thank you, thank you, for your kindness to us, your patience with us, your mercy toward us.” Let us spend the remaining days of this year thanking and praising God for His faithfulness and grace that is more than sufficient for us. Do not allow anything to stop you from praising and thanking God. As we round off our five-day fasting and prayers, we shall commence a nine-day
