Daily Strength Sunday Catholic Devotional - NOVEMBER 26, 2017- WHEN THE SON OF MAN COMES IN HIS GLORY.

Prophecies for 2018 by Pastor E.A Adeboye

    Scripture Reading: Matthew 25:31-46
Today the Church celebrates the Solemnity of Christ the King. The Feast of Christ the King was instituted by Pope Pius XI on December 11, 1925. Today’s reading offers three significant message: (1) The criterion of judgment will be the mercy shown for the least of Jesus’ brothers and sisters. (2) We are invited to recognize Christ’s presence in the poor and suffering. (3) Rejecting the poor and suffering means rejection of Jesus Himself. From this parable, Jesus opens our eyes to a truth we often overlook. How do we help the poor?

Do we see the charity render to the poor as a kingly service? Do you see Christ the Kind in the sick, widow, orphan, mad person or the refugee around you? We must see Jesus in those we help, that we enable us to respect and honor the poor not minding their social status. The poor deserves our respects. At the end the King’s verdict will be; mercy for the merciful, but no mercy for the merciless. Today, we also invite you to prepare for our end of month 5-day fasting and prayers which starts tomorrow. We rejoice because Christ our King has taught us that prayer is the key which opens the way for all human endeavors.

It is in the understanding of this, and to fortify our users with additional prayer booklet titled; “AMEN IT IS DONE”. As we approach the end of the year therefore, DSD calls all Users to a 5-day fasting program starting tomorrow 27 November to 1 December. By the grace and joy and not in sorrow in Jesus Name. Prayer should be the foundation of our lives. As a result, we have witnessed God’s miracle working power in the lives of many Users of DSD, we have seen God destroy the powers of witchcraft and demonic forces, thereby setting the oppressed free. We know that there are many more prayers to be answered so trust in His ability to make all things possible during this 5-day program. So we beckon on you not to despair rather persevere in prayers.
