Scripture reading -Daily Strength Catholic Devotional

    Luke 21:25-36

Today, the HOLY Spirit desires us to know that whether the “world” smiles or frowns, it is an enemy; because of its terrors and enticement (distraction) and believers should be strong enough to overcome it.St paul says , ‘no temptation has over taken you that is unusual for human being. But God faithful and he will not allow you to be tempted beyond your strength. Instead, along with the temptation he will also provide a way out so that you will be able to endure it.’(1cor.10:13) our lead scripture says “they will be signs in the sun and moon and start and upon the earth distress of nations in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and waves men fainting with fear and foreboding on what is coming on the world………”

Daily Strength Catholic Devotional For NOVEMBER 6, 2017

Scripture reading -Daily Strength Catholic Devotional

In the words of Luke, how do we find “the strength to escape all these things “xo that we can stand before the One who is the focus of our faith? the gospel instruct us to watch and wait –to stay awake and keep alert so that we don’t miss the big arrival. All three being with signs in the heavens – the sun the moon the star. For every writer they is a risen we miss the messiah .For Matthew and Mark we might not stay awake., Mark is the most direct-In Mark 13:35 ‘’therefore, keep awake –for you do not know when the master of the house will come , in the evening, or at mind night or at cockcrow ,or at down, or else he may find asleep when he comes suddenly .’’Matthew quite similar-in Matthew 24:43’’But understand this if the owner of the house had known in what part of the night the thief was coming , he would have stayed awake and would not have let his be broken into .’’

But Luke’s concern is different LUKE’S BIGEST WORRY IS THAT WE’LL BE DISTRACTED: in Luke 21 :34 “be on guard so that ur heart will not be weighed with dissipation and drunkenness and worries of this life and that day catch you unexpectedly ,like a trap”
Beloved are you very distracted to notice the coming of the kingdom of God ,to take time to sit at Jesus feet or to care for someone in need ?in truth they are many distraction in our world ;the big question today is are u caught up in it or have you been able to find the strength to overcome these distraction ?let us continue tomorrow.
